The brief:

Create an appealing and attractive event map / welcome card for a garden party hosted by The Prince’s Countryside Fund and held at Clarence House, London. The drawings needed to be friendly and approachable and encourage people to explore the event.

The process:

I created initial sketch designs outlining a few layout ideas for the design. A preferred one was chosen, and I drew up the illustrations for each individual contributor appearing at the event. I then drew Clarence House and created the reverse of the design featuring hills and a drystone wall. I hand wrote all the text using an ink pen to further personalise the design.

The solution:

A two-side A5 event card provided as a high-resolution PDF with crop marks and bleed for the charity to send to their print company.
